Look at what i saw at a local Lincoln-Mercury dealer in Long Island, NY.

The chopper was orginally made by Orange county Choppers!!! I asked the owner of the dealership if he wanted to sell it, he says "80 grand and its yours" :bigcry:

That is actually a pretty nice bike. I have seen both episodes for those 2 bikes. Both are by OCC.

The Lincoln bike, if I remember correctly, was to go with the Lincoln Mark LT truck. They had a special display stand and stuff built for it. Was pretty cool, especially the Dearborn test facility where they got to do some cool stuff in the Mark LT.

OCC also did a Shelby bike that was in conjunction with Unique who does teh "Elanor" replicas. Had some very nice original Shelby touches on it.

Are you talking about the Shelby or the bike?

The lincoln emblems in the rims spin when the wheels move...very cool. The trailer that was made for it had a roller that would keep the rims (at least the front) spinning for display...I saw those episodes too.

HEY! That's where I bought my Marauder last January! :P

Thought the showroom looked a little familiar...

Do you recall the production number of the GT-H?

They built 8 of the Lincoln Bikes and they toured the Lincoln/Mercury dealerships across the US.

What??!! $108k for a GT-H with a Hertz emblem still on it? That's outrageous. Is there even anything special under that hood?

They put a Ford Racing cold air kit, Ford Racing tune, Ford Racing mufflers, and Ford Racing handling package. Basically, you could go buy a brand new GT for $27-28k, stop by the parts department on your way out, drop another $2000 on the same parts on the GT-H, and have a brand new unmolested car.

Its almost a joke. If I was Carrol Shelby, I'd put my name on ebay because its obviously an investment. And lets face it, he'd better cash in on it while he's still alive.

Around October of '06, while at a small car show in La Crosse Wisconsin, I met a guy that owns an '85 Dodge Omni GLHS. The sun visor was autographed by Carrol Shelby.

The car was rust from the door handles down. The engine looked flammable due to all the oil leaks. The visor was in poor condition also. Even so, I don't doubt that the car will eventually sell for $300,000 at Barrett-Jackson.

I think Shelby has been cashing in on it for a very long time already.

He actually sued Denise Haliki, the widow of H.B Haliki, (He's the man who made the original "Gone in sixty seconds") for use of the name 'Eleanor'.

He won. Apparently it isn't just his name that makes money.

That's still outrageous though. I mean, with the Hertz emblem, that should drop the price by about 15k right there.

These cars were built SPECIFICALLY for Hertz.
That makes them LIMITED EDITIONS like another car we all know very well.

L&B in West Babylon, NY...on the "island"...

Bought my car there last year...

Wish there was this much to look at when I was there...waiting for paperwork and staring at a Navigator for 2 hours wasn't as much fun...
