Designed to produce an additional 16 to 53 horsepower on demand! Great for all cars not equipped with a multiple throttle body system! That's the equivalent of 185 MPH of wind being forced down your throttle body through the entire RPM range—it won't lessen at wide-open throttle.

I was asking the rpm/tourque requirements of belt driven blowers (roots etc) a while back, to translate this to electrically generated boost requirements.

I mess around a bit with motors and controllers at my job. Personally, I think this in great idea, but not with a half hearted or simple effort (like the squirrel cage fan link above)! If you had some extra batteries, and a GOOD high tech motor control system running an existing roots, centrifical etc. to the same parameters as the belt, wouldn't it kick some butt?.

Thoughts were along the line of the electrically driven water pumps when I was thinking of this.

But then again, if the torque requirements for a belt driven are too high, the motor driven system may not be a good idea. I haven't done research yet...

That's pretty sad when JC Whitney starts stocking them. Those are similar to the Electric Superchargers you see on eBay. A waste of money IMO.

Our motors would propably suck that thing into the throttle body! The largest application was a 3.8L V6.

Those Echargers are such crap. Ive seen them tested on anything from trucks to buggies and they all come back to a big fat C for crap.
