I read about this in C&D They were supposed to send about 300 total chargers (Most hemi's some V6) For testing to see how they hold up, then dodge will be selling these as police cars.

how do you know it was a Hemi charger?
From the test reports I've read, the Hemi charger wasn't all that much faster than the CVPI in the pursuit course test, something like only 4 seconds.

I didnt say it was a hemi, but since my truck is damn near as fast as my MM, Ill assume the Charger is quicker.

Louisville Metro has been using Chargers for a while now. The good thing is, they still use regular radar and not instant-on so my trusty Bel picks them up 1/4 mile away.

Best squad I ever had was our 2000 Durango de-comish'ed k9 unit. All striping off, just a plain jane white durango with lights behind the tinted windows and a single dash light, blue / red split with blue forward (looked like a vol. firefighter). DOH! Gawd the tickets I wrote with that thing !! Now it just tools around hauling crap for the training division. To early a retirement from patrol for that unit.:shake:
