1994-1996 Chevy Impala SS for my buddy at work, he doesnt like ford and i have no impalas to race so i have been helping him look for the last week.
something in iowa or boardering state lines, $8,500 or below with less than 150k any color. We have found 2 but when we called i crap you not they sold the day before, and one we missed out on by $50 in the last 8 seconds on ebay (car was located in Des Monies IA) and we found it in person the next day and it turned out to have a blown motor, which was not listed in the ad, what good is a $7250 Impala ss with a blown motor?
I did not want to have to turn to you guys cause im helping someone find an SS, but its gotten to that point. I feel ashamed! (kinda)
actually i kinda want him to get one so me and him can have a friendly rivalry of the MM and SS
any help is appretiated, and i am checking ebay and autotrader regularly.

The SS will win. (Unfortunately.) I've raced my buddy's '96. It's somewhat of a close race, but that LT1 is just nuts. I'm hoping my T/C will make a difference when we race again. There's actually one in the town next to me that my buddy was looking at until I convinced him to get a Lightning. :D

If your buddy is all stock he shouldn't win against you with what you've done

So you guys are saying with just a tune, stat, mufflers, plugs, and an intake I would toast a stock LT1 push-rod SS? Well, sorry to say I didn't. The LT1 is a torque monster. Once I get my T/C in we shall see who will win. And once I get my Zex installed...

Tune, u/d's and stat should do the trick, depending on your skills.

LT1 IS a Torq Monster but it runs out of breath when the DOHC 4.6L just starts to breathe...
A properly tuned Marauder with a CIA and an upgraded exhaust should keep you ahead of a stock LT1.

Hmm, well, he must have done something extra to his car without telling me. He's the very competitive type and would lie just to win.

Y'mean like on "Pinks?" ;)
There is a pristine black 96 Imp. SS near my house, stock - guy that owns it says it has never seen rain or salt and I have never seen it driven. Few miles on it, but I forget the actual #. Guy wants WAY more than it's worth though, so that's why he's been sitting on it for years. He wanted something like $17,000 last I spoke to him.

there are at least 4 on ebay right now. Highest milage I saw was 103,000.
That was on a 94. The rest ranged between 65 and 85 thousand. Take a look. Looking don't cost nuthin.
