Home safe and sound. Had a great time.
Had a scare from the car though, while still in Kentucky. Noticed tank had not filled up while at the Marathon, even after several clicks. Decided to complete at first Shell station, done and back out on the road. While on the entrance ramp to the highway noticed didn't hear the pipes., scangauage temp was at 197, dash gauge was at normal, rpm was at 4 grand+ while speedo said 60 mph. Went a little further and pulled over. Checked for any leaks (none), fan belt still in tact, maunallly manipalated the throttle and it seemed normal with colaborating intake noise. No codes according to scanguage. Temp came back down to 190, so set out for home. Temp fluctuated between 190, 193 and 197 but, the exhaust note returned and rpm returned to normal, temp still fluctuated on scanguage, but as you can de duce i made it home.
? is this what those that filled up at Exxon Thursday night were experiencing or has anyone ever experienced this before.

I arrived at 11pm central time, just 13 short hours after I left.
I'm going to start refering to the Marauder as a time machine. :burnout:
I made it home about 2 PM abd the trip went well and had no problems. It was nice to meet all of you and I had a good time. The fuel economy weas 19.4 MPG for the trip and thatr is pretty good. Hope to see you at another event soon. For those who did not attend you missed a good time and should consider becoming active in this club. You will find out what friendship is all about. Thanks again to all!

Made it back ~ 9PM. One stop in Charleston, WV for an early dinner at the Outback. It was a 10hr drive and thankfully 'ol red's a fairly comfortable cruiser for a short wheelbase 4x4. Tell you what, though ....sometimes, just an inch on the highway map can turn out to be a heck of a distance. I didn't see any snow on the ground until Morgantown, WV.
It was a great event, thanks again to Mike, Mary & Dan for the great plan. Mongoose and Embassy were a great help getting us un-lost, and once again the Chapel's have lived up to the tradition of bringing attractive lady persons to MM events with them.
An infectious smile and dimples ...what a combination. :lovies:

From my other post:
Well, 550 miles roundtrip and one carwash later, I'm home.
As expected, I had a fantastic weekend with some class-act folks.
Thank you to all those who organized this meet. You can take pride in knowing that all your hard work was a success.
Look forward to meeting up with you folks again sometime.

Already posted on another thread, but made it home with no problems at 4pm Monday. Picked up the kids from camp, they were all happy to be home. Made 5 Harley stops on this trip, more then I expected we would make. It was good seeing old friends again and meeting new people.
Zack, I'll say it again; "You bum.", you received my wake up call on Saturday morning at 7:30. I wondered what happened I thought the hotel just didn't like Irish people.
