That's pretty funny stuff from an alternate universe
But hey, there is a Station Wagon version!

I bet that it is faster with the 3.0 V6 too.

I believe it!
Because ONLY Ford would authorize the rebirth of the Maruader then bring it back with 1/2 the horsepower and wonder why it doesn't sell again.
Totally believable that they would continue to stuff that anemic Vulcan 3.0 V6 into any vehicle that they can.
BTW: The moveable pedals must be a BIG selling feature as they mention them twice.

But .....Chrysler's doing it with the various editions of the 300, whatever's. Why not? The damned thing would probably be faster off the line than '03-4 MM's, so who'd know it was just another marketing scam, um, er, brilliant idea. Hopefully it would have the same suspension bits so we could swap out our tired old body's and chassis for nice new clean ones .....not!
PS: did you catch the part about seating for six? Bench seat baby! :woohoo:

I don't think my pedals have been moved since I got my MM nearly 4 years ago. Wait a minute .... I did push the button during the test drive to show the wife. That's the last time. :D
I bought the Marauder for the cup holders. I was grossly misinformed.

Take a look under 'Pictures and Specs' . . .
"And if you ski, or carry ladders everywhere you go, the positively enormous split-seat pass-through into the trunk will make your life immeasurably easier. "
"So equipped, the Sable allows the hidden hurrier in you full expression, but in this car, who will suspect?"
Note the pic of the 'Vert version too. Alternate universe indeed!

Don't laugh about the 3.0l. I think it's a good engine. My SHO still has plenty of life at 147k and still whoops mostly anything I line up against. Don't be surprised if Ford will shimmy some sort of a "SHO" version in the new Taurus.

Darn, when I clicked on "PRICE QUOTE" for 2006 or '07, Marauder didn't come up. Could there be a mistake? :shake:
Um, I forgot to try the convert.

Not to Hijack the thread, but I like hybrids, an electric motor will kill a gas motor any day. The Only Problem, big problem, is losing that damn growl.

I was busting on the pushrod 'Vulcan' 3.0 V6....
I like the Duratec 3.0 and I LOVE the Yamaha designed 3.0 SHO!
That was a really sweet V6 that would pull and pull and pull as the revs climbed.
We can only hope that the 'retro' movement in Detroit convinces the knuckleheads at Ford to make a new SHO.
