Metroplex Marauders

Well, we finally got together---three of us showed up at CiCi's in Bedford and had a nice visit. Racerx88 and his beautiful lady arrived first and Hemlock followed closely. It was so hot we spent most of our time in the air-conditioning and went out to get familiar with each others changes--Racer's MM looks like new after his crash--a beautiful repair job--and his moon-roof is a neat installation. Hemlock now has over 27,000 mi on his and it looks like it just came off the show-room floor---he has more mods than I can list--we didn't do any driving--but he sounded great as he left--speaking of left---I left my camera inside and before I thought of it, Hemlock was gone and Racer was in his car--so , no pictures---promise I'll do better next time. If any of you want to meet someplace---maybe a night meeting, post it here---this will be our thread from now on--I know of 12 MMs in the metroplex and I think we should get to know each other---even if just a few at each meeting---see what you can do--Also, "cyclone", it was great of you to plan on coming, but that is a lot of driving for an hour or two with a few people and the heat didn't help---hope you can make Ford Fun Week--drop me a PM. Haven't heard from Bob Mathis this week--he said he would call as soon as some pending negotiations were complete--no news is good news. Well, I've rambled on enough--so see you soon, Maury

Sorry I couldn't be there. Sounds like a great idea though to try it again. Might I suggest that we try it on a weekend again? Since we are all scattered over the Metroplex and most of us work it makes it somewhat difficult to do it in the
evening during the week. I used to notice that a 55-57 T-bird group meeting in Richardson for breakfast on occasional Saturdays. I don't even know if that restaurant is
still open but they had a very congested Parking lot, not at
all friendly to "nice" cars. Another thought might be a place like a mall where we can corral the MMs by them selves. One good thing about earlier in the day in Texas,
its cooler.

I had my NEW wheels installed yesterday by the time it was done theres no way I could have made Dallas by 4pm.

How about a "Cracker Barrel" or I-Hop" for breakfast this next week-end ?Post some suggestions and I'm sure we can find some common ground--we Ft Worth owners will try to make it if you don't go too far out. Sorry but I am out for the next two weeks. I do know the Cracker Barrell in Lewisville has a large, normally unused lot in the back
that would be perfect to "round up" the MM's.

How about we all meet at the Chucks Hamburgers Cruise on the third Saturday of this month. That's August 16. Show starts around 5pm and runs till about 8:30 or so. If there's enough of us, I can get the host club to set aside some spaces just for us. How about it guys?
