My car did the same last week but lasted only an hour an a half an started to work again . I'm curious as to what the cause of this is too an seemed to have started when it got really cold outside.

Your A/C blower does not work either. You need a relay located under the hood. It's one of the big black square ones. This has happened to several S/C marauders
I checked an old post and I see the problem. It is the blower speed controller going bad. after tapping it with a screwdriver the fan came back on, I guess I will need to get a new one.
Purchase two relays at your local ford dealer and keep one in the car.

Check blower motor relay on underhood fuse box:

Run EATC self test as well.

Mine did the same thing I replaced the blower motor relay. That didnt fix it. I had my climate control box all the way out and one of the plugs in the back seemed to have a loose connection. a Little electric grease and pluged everything back in works fine. :D

blower speed control. Had the same thing happen to me. Randomly came back on, then went dead.
