I need schoolin on the LX Sport

I've been looking for a nice Crown Vic LX Sport. 2003-2005. I initailly thought they came in the same colors as the Marauder, Black, Silver Birch, DTR, and Dark Blue. As far as I knew they all had body colored grilles. Now I have seen one that was White with a tan interior and console shifter, and a chrome grille. I recently found a nice Dark Green Sport with a chrome grille in Pa on autotrader. I didn't know these cars could be optioned that way. What's the real story on these cars? :dunno:
I know Roy L Pita will run Oasis reports that will probably tell if the car is legit, but I don't want to bother him unless I am very serious about purchasing the car.

Yes certain color's on the cv sport did have a chrome grille.

That's right certain colours of the LX Sport do have chrome grille and other chrome accent pieces etc

I just picked up a fairly nice black '04 in Levittown for my daughter - not perfect but very servicable. They ARE hard to find in any color onn LI.

Only four colors have the matching grille and color-keyed rear lights. All others have the chrome.

LX Sport: A new 07 Black with charcoal interior and sunroof just sold in Newport VT and another a 06 leftover with light flint just sold at a Ford dealer in Brattleboro VT...they are out there.....and for sale...

My dealer has a black on black one. There is a wholesaler that I know who buy these every now and then and puts them on Ebay.

The black ones will make you do a double take to check and see if it was a MM you just saw. Very sharp looking. I saw the dark green once long ago, it was very classy looking.

Not a bad thing in the slightest bit! I'm just saying that it was easier to find and purchase a much nicer car than the CV Sport.
