Will 18x10 wheels with +50mm offset clear in the rear? it would only stick out 1" more to the outside of the vehicle, but the extra 1" inside + the tire bulge, will that be too close to the shock?

I seriuosly doubt it because the widened (to 9.5") OEM rim has all 1-1/2" extra width on the inside of the rim.
Some members have noted a slight rubbing of their P305s...my P305s are very close but do NOT rub the shock.
You would have about a 1/2" more clearance to the shock than a 9.5" widened OEM rim.
Although I don't know how close to the fender lip you would be with the extra 1" to the outside.
FWIW: When I was measuring for wider rims/aftermarket rims I 'guess-timated' about 3/4" more to the outside without hitting the fender lip.

I use the above size rims with a 45 MM off set with my 305's for race day--no problem

it doesnt rub on the fender lip at all?
I guess that all depends on how high you have the rear set as well..

The 1" inward will be NO PROBLEM because, as stated above, those who widen move in 1.5".

The move out will need to be measured. Go to your local 'mega store' and get you a wooden yard stick. Most are 1" wide. Lay the stick against the bulges of your existing tire and move it around the circle. The outside of the stick will show you your clearance. For most accurate measurements, you may cut the stick down to the existing tire height assuming the new tire will be close to factory height.
