NEITHER...
It all depends on your choice of oils, filters, and
if you do your own work.
The oils will dictate how often they need to be changed.
A good filter will make the oil change interval LONGER.
A good set of tools will pay for themselves.

I know a few Honda owners who only ever put gas in the car. so for those like them, the Honda. for a while anyway

Tough question since it depends what condition the MM is in, and what condition the Accord is in.
The Marauder is more expensive by virtue of tires alone. I haven't seen many memorable Accord burn-out videos!

I agree on the apples to oranges. Add a ton of lead to the Honda's trunk before you do the comparison test.
And yes, burnouts are better with Marauders.
And, Which would you rather be in when struck by a loaded tractor-trailer rig?
Honda Accord or Mercury Marauder?

+1
Heck, I've spent $500 on wash and wax alone for my Marauder this year. :D add another $700-800 for a set of front tires last June and rears in October.
I have spent nothing on an Accord. So, the Accord MUST be cheaper.

Having both at my house I can tell you. The scheduled maintainance on the Accord is slightly more expensive than on the Marauder. But, if you add tires and breakdowns into the mix, the Honda is cheaper to keep on the road. Add in the cost of gas and it is no contest.
But if you really cared about that stuff you wouldn't want the Marauder at all.

How many times have you been hit by a loaded tractor trailer? That is not on the top of my worry list. Being stranded on the side of the interstate in Steer's A$$, Iowa is a major worry though.

Steer's A$$ Iowa happens to be a very nice town. Just don't mess with the bartenders.
