Um, I think you might need a cowl to get that to fit in the MM.
It'll take care of that "off the line" problem!

What, just add a hood scoop or get an aftermarket hood....clearance problems solved.
Then all you'll have to do do is deal with the weight issue.

Think we can get Dennis to put together a chip for that thing? ;)

Well I would say since you have already addressed the engine "size" issue....You may want to get a better tire....I would think 100,000 plus HP could generate some wheel spin....maybe its just me...... ;)

At 102 RPM, I think the stock tires are fine. Just get beefier u-joints.

Well ghost I stand corrected..... Think that you get special badge to put on the side of the car with that thing......I mean just so someone could tell your car apart from another stock MM?

How about a God's Head badge, but with the little dude's hat ripped off and his hair totally blown out behind him, with his eyes looking like this:
Maybe on the outside of the car only, I don't know how long I could stand staring at that image on the center of my steering wheel.
Of course, there is another thread with some useful suggestions on hood ornaments that would work well in this instance. :D

I think the exhaust note would pretty much set it apart from the rest of the MMs. Provided, of course, that you have special tips. But the special badging is a good idea, just for that extra visual individuality.

The bulging eye things is not a bad badge...you could have a badge with a picture of that guy in the old Memorex..commercials who sat in the chair with the wine glass blowing backwards.....except have him blown bald and him hanging onto the chair like he was almost flying......But then again the exhaust tips might be just the subtle look you are going for....

DAMN!! You found the motor I'm dropping in to my car... And I was trying to keep it a secret...

Congratulations, MAD... I figured you'd be glad to know I snapped a picture of your motor mounts being shipped in. They finally found a boat big enough to hold them.

The overview with the workers INSIDE the crank case is just amazing. It looks almost photo-shopish.
And the 3 guys to install the main bearings.........with a crain.

Those SWEET pics bring back some memories! No, the marine diesels I've run weren't NEARLY as large as those Behemoths, but I did feel a touch of the "salt" run through my veins again ;)
MM2 (SS) for those few who understand :)

Looks like an engine for a cruise ship or a mighty large MM. HeHe

So, what does it mean when the engine's peak power RPM comes BEFORE the stock torque converter's stall speed??? :D
Ballooning would not be a problem on the stock Marauder torque converter... more like 'fragmenting'. :D

For me, there's a touch of sadness. America hasn't entered anything significant in the merchant marine field since WWII. You want to see a merchant fleet with power? Check out Hyundai. Yup, same company building those lil bitty econoboxes with 10 year warranties, they're building the engines that drive the world. America, given all her might, could not match Hyundai's industrial push today.
Heavy Sigh :( :(

Maybe it's trick photography and that's a normal size engine, but very little people working on it.

DAMN ! :eek: Let me see which one I'd rather have;
281 cubic inches displacement or 1,556,002 cubic inches displacement,
4.6 liters or 25,480 liters,
8 cylinders or 14 cylinders.
This is a tough one, :help: I think I'll sleep on this one.
I wonder what it will do in 0-60 times. Can anyone say milli-second or nano-second. :burnout:

Got to love an engine that is measure in kiloliters.

I'd prefer something we could actually squeeze under our hood like:
The Cadillac Sixteen’s 32-valve V-16 concept engine displaces 13.6 litres and produces no less than 1000horsepower and 1000 lbs.-ft. of torque

I agree, but put that engine in a MM and then try to replace the rear spark plugs. :D You'd have to make access panels in the front floorboards!

Spoke with Dennis today and as usual he is on the cutting edge....he sent me a pic of his new blower install for the "bigger" MM engine....

Marauder57,
What's that olive-green colored thing at the bottom right of the image, with the guy sitting in it? Could it be the starter motor? :D
Let's not forget a stout blower like that needs a good intercooler system. I think this shot shows a potentially good candidate for a water-to-air intercooler, with a little tweaking it might just fit!

I think that is Dennis.....but I believe he is the guy who "starts" the motor..... :D

That is a nice cooler....but as you know here on the MM board "stock" or "Stage 1" intercoolers are just not enough.....Dennis "Ultra Secret" "Proprietary Intercooler Technology" (aka PIT) is in the works....

If you look carefully you can see Dennis and the crew at Reinhart going in to make some final adjustments to the system before the MM.net release......
