In honor of last weeks 'Earth Day', I cleaned out my car.

Call me a tree hugger, but I just love trees! Especially the little pine scented ones! I always try to do my part for Mother Earth by saving as many Little Trees as I can. The newspapers help keep me up to date on environmental issues. Wow, everything I do is 'green'!

This why I don't own a convertible. With top down, they can really put out some serious pollution! If I was a hard core environmentalist, I'd crush this car, put it's 4000+ lbs of copper, lead, steel, mercury, zinc, aluminum, glass, paint, and plastic into a landfill, and buy a shiny new car from a big, smoky, unregulated Korean factory. After all, manufacturing new cars is good for the environment!

All gone! The Earth is now much, much cleaner! I may need to buy a few 'carbon off-set' credits though... Anyone know where Al Gore buys all his credits from? I need to talk to all his various suppliers.

So did anyone else do something special for Earth Day?

Of course it's his. See the JD Green implement in the background?

and then there is the bumper decal on the dash.

I thought that was a picture of the car burning after he cleaned it out of all the paper work he wanted to save. Paper is a good carbon sink, just don't burn the paper.

You don't see the car in the last picture do you? It must be in the burn.
Look close and you can see wood nymphs dancing around the fire.

I'll bet some of you folks are glad my Marauder isn't my dailly driver!

Earth Day seems to happen at a time when I can finally fire up my burn pit so I always try to have some fun with it. This year I had a few extra things in the pit that I probably shouldn't tell anyone...ever. :D

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, my house and Marauder are generally spotless. I just have a really hard time cleaning out a rusty, 18 year old, $400 dailly driver.

BTW, what the heck is a 'carbon sink'?

We planted six trees last Sunday. I just hope I don't kill them, since I don't have very good luck with plants.

ECM celebrated Earth Day by installing Trilogy #157 in Scott's car. The only thing that could have made it even better was a nice burnout...but that'll be saved for another time ;)

Offroadkarter.. Yes, it's a Crown Vic. An '89 to be exact. Possibly the best car I've ever owned. Paid $400 for it 8-04 and have only replaced one set of plugs and a set of tires. Any weenies cooked on that blaze would have killed me.

Ryans PI... A blower install on Earth Day?! That's like eatting rabbit stew on Easter or vension steaks on Christmas. I love it!

Chris.. I plan on doing some landscaping here this summer. If I figure out how to grow trees, I'll let you know how I did it. I normally just whack 'em down and stuff them in my wood stove. Growing them will be a new experiance.

Duncan.. Those 'wood nymphs' dancing around the fire (lol!) were a couple aerosol cans. They sure can dance though. I looked like they were doing the 'time warp' from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I did my part by not shooting either of the two jakes that tried to make dates with my decoys, yesterday morning.

BTW, I was listening the other day, to the description of Algore's obscene mansion, then there's Mr. & Mrs. $400 haircut Edwards, who are pikers when compared to Algore who out houses them by 2X.

Um, I wonder if all the laborers, building the edifices to wanton waste, are properly documented (wink, wink) ;) Speaking of those carbon ofset's, it's said that the power consumed, once the Edwards' plantation is up and running, would power all of Bootwash, and the local high school.

"Call it “Dancing with the Stars”: Global Warming Edition. Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards showed his best dance moves trying to avoid questions about how energy efficient his 28,000-square-foot mansion really is and how much the power bill costs each month."

Gore’s 56,000 sq ft. mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES).
The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

I celebrated Earth Day by doing a burnout. That offset some of Mr. Hippocrite's "carbon credits".
:burn: :neener:

I'm glad the Marauder is California rated as a ULEV vehicle.
That's better than some Hondas. How many carbon offsets is that worth?
