Does your Marauder-S seem like it hits the revlimiter between shifts? We just got back my friends and it seems to just shut off between shifts for a split second. Performance is great though. Hit it from an idle and it actually hooks. Stall it though and your done :)

bill, I just ckd mine it does do it sometimes but it seems to me it is like at 5800 it acts like it is loosing some traction and causing very slight wheel spin which in turn causes to hit the limiter. The only problem I had or have with mine is in heavy traffic and stop and go you just barely hit the gas and it wants to die? and has actaully died on me in heavy traffic????? Dave at KB had metioned when I asked him if any one else had that problem he said Bills car did do it a couple times and it went away. well I still have this problem almost got me rear ended last week.
OTHER THAN THAT I LOVE THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It hasn't gone away. In heavy stop and go, I mean like creeping along inch by inch, and a hot day (over 80) my S will heasitate, or, die out. I'm thinking it's the Chicagoland summer blend gasoline. May be 93 octane, but it's also 10 percent ethanol.

Yup, had that prob too, but it did it even before the Kenny Brown mods. Had to bump the base idle up just a tad. We checked it here at the dealership and it was a little too low.
About the limiter, the traction may be what is causing it also. Never thought of that.

Sarge, so youres is still doing that?? Like you indicated only in hot weather and HEAVY traffic with the air on has it happened to me. I would think it is not the gas due to the fact I will drive way out of my way to buy good gas and sometimes even add a little octane boost. I had a buddy look at it with me but we could not duplicate the problem go figure always works that way.
While were all talking how much oil are you guys putting in at OIL changes? ME and Dave had a discussion about this and what he had on the paperwork he gave me. It stated 7qts after putting in 7qts it read way overfull and I could feel the ever so slightest vibration in the motor from the journals telling me that was to much oil. After talking to Dave at KB some more we arrive at it should only require 6.5 qts not seven.

Todd - I thought the stock MM held 6 Quarts of oil. Does the KB MM have additional capacity?

John,
The Vortech supercharger is supplied by the motor oil so you have to account for the additional amount the supercharger will require. Usally about a half qt I beleive.

That sounds right. The MM is different than any other newer car I've changed oil in. Usually the "recommended" amount puts you just a hair past the MIN mark. Lil too low for me, so I usually have to bump it up 1/2-3/4 of a quart. The MM takes a dead even 6 and you're right smack dab in the middle of the dip stick (considering you don't spill much out of the oil filter while installing it).

The notes I have say the crankcase takes .5 extra qts. of oil, and the tranny takes .75 extra qts. of Merkon. I have no 411 on the intercooler though, do you?

Well. Took it to FFW at Dinwiddie yesterday and it definitly has a bog between shifts. I guess he will call KB Monday to find out whassup. Did manage to run a 13.49@103 in the muggy weather.

Yes, this has happened to me. I agree it's tire spin that allows the RPMs to hit the limiter.

But I don't think this is the same problem. Do you know for certain what torque converter you have?

It is a stallion. It was installed before it ever went to KB. Never had this prob till it came back.
