This car has really caught my eye, love the sharp lines, the 362hp V8 and that the new re-badge Grand Prix is going back to its RWD roots.

Proving once again pontiac has nothing good to offer.

I don't know if the oil capacity of 8.9 quarts is a typo.

Agreed with Zack. It looks like an uglier GTO (I didn't know the GTO COULD get uglier) with a bad underbite. MM copycat!

I'll reserve judgment until I see a price tag for the GT.

Agreed. It's not what I would want looks-wise, but RWD V8 with that many horses deserves a look no matter what.

It's a Pontiac, so they can't price it out of the ballpark. If it clearly outperforms the new Camaros and Challengers I may be taking more than one look.

Of course, if it has the crappy rear end the GTO has, no point in trying to drive it very fast.

Concept of the new 2008/2009 GTO lol

Holy crap they are putting the 6.0 in it! Wow! they should make a GT2 with the 6.2L in it, talk about scary fun. 380hp + 6 spd + rwd= :burnout:

Still the 6.0L is 366hp, and thats plenty to get in trouble :D

I actually like the looks of the g8 (though I think I'm in the minority there).

However, that GTO concept is laughably bad.

As a few people that I have talked to about this car it reminds us all of a big Acura TL at least with the way the body lines are.

I still think it's a sharp looking ride. Even the V6 model has some appeal with it's 261hp engine.

So the 6 litre has only 366 HP?

I thought it was the LS2 ala the corvette. I the ratings are simiarly understated like the old LS1 F bodies. And its strangely easy to wake it up to 400 ponies.....

It's just the difference of exhaust, cams and tune. Same thing with the Crown Vic LXsport 4.6 sohc 239hp/287tq and the Mustang 4.6 sohc 260hp/300tq. Detuning the engine just makes the aftermarket field more desirable and for companies to line their pockets.

The front of the GTO looks alright and the rest looks like a Cobolt.... however u spell it. I'm not too excited about either. I'm am excited to the Challenger and Camaro coming out, but still I'm glad I'm an old schooler. Theres no new cars or new music that interest me at all.
