We are sitting on $1.28 per liter CDN for 91 octane, so I don't think my American Marauder friends are doing too bad yet. I will drive my Marauder at any cost.... cuz ya can't take the $$$$ with you. Hope spring is arriving for everyone.

If someone pisses in the wind were screwed.

They'll think of any reason to raise the prices!

Im going to just mutter obscenities to myself, bend over and take it like it is.

Do oil companies and brokers on the stock floor that regulate these prices even use lube anymore???

The problem we have here in Panama City is that our fuel comes in on barges from Mobile via the Intracoastal Waterway. If the ICW gets blocked by hurricane debris, the barges can't get through. That's what happened last time and the whole town ran completely out of fuel, and when it started coming back in the prices spiked from unreasonable to absurd.

Economics 101: Supply and Demand.

Gas prices go up in the summer, drop down again in the fall.

Get the Tree Huggers to relent, get a couple new refineries built and allow additional offshore drilling, and you'll see gas below $2.00/gallon.

I stopped applying supply and demand to this scenario. I understand fully that prices go up in the summer. But by .80-$1.00??????

I keep aiming to spend $100.00 to fill up the Marauder, because it is well worth it when you've got 400 RWHP on tap. Even when I can't afford it, I still hope...but alas I am disappointed, I never reach that $100.00 fill-up.

Maybe someday soon :burnout:

Soon the comparisons to a price of a gallon of milk will start. My car does not run on milk.

Premium in Delaware is up to $3.09 a Gallon. The funny thing is, how much are the things we buy on a regular basis a gallon? Milk, Olive oil, even water.... Sooner or later we are going to bite the bullet on Gasoline prices big time. Why don't the auto manufacturers make a viable alternative fuel vehicle we can use as commuter vehicles and save the MM for the fun stuff!?!?!

I just filled up here in so. FL with Mobil, to the tone of $51 at $3.15 for premium and my light just came on.

It truly time to enjoy EVERY mile you drive.

You guys are getting a bargain at $3.15. I paid $3.67 for 92 octane yesterday. It doesn't have anything to do with supply and demand...just greedy ass oil companies. I decided to invest in oil so I can have some of those "nonexistent" profits they talk about.

I agree that a BIG part of the problem is the Oil Companies,
but a BIGGER part of the problem is IMMIGRATION.

Immigration INTO the US is a dangerous and unchecked situation right now,
and the more and more people that immigrate into the US, the higher the
demand for more and more energy will go.
We are averaging over 1 MILLION immigrants into the US every year.
That is 1 MILLION more people who want to drive cars,
1 MILLION more people that need jobs
and are willing to do YOUR JOB for less than you do now.

Unchecked Immigration is also responsible for a big part of the unemployment
in the US as well. Immigrants are willing to risk working for less money
in order to provide for their families, while it undermines our currently established
workforce, and the ethics of the US Corporations.
How many of our parents had to worry about losing their jobs ?
How many of our parents had to worry about the company they worked for
cutting back on payroll expense, and terminating THOUSANDS of jobs
just because the cost of doing business increased faster than the
business could cope with ?

I'm NOT saying to send all of them back home.
What I'd like to see is a reasonable limit on the amount of people
that are allowed to immigrate into the US each year.
Let those people that are here LEGALLY remain here.
Those that are here ILLEGALLY need to apply to stay legally
or go back home.

This is NOT rocket science. It is basic economics.
Most of the politicians in Washington don't care about this stuff.

So unless ALL OF US decide to do something about the IMMIGRATION
into the US, you can kiss your inexpensive energy and the way of life
that you are comfortable with today, away...

When you vote in NOVEMBER, vote with your 'WALLET' in mind,
not with your head...

NOT VOTING IS NOT A SOLUTION EITHER.
We need someone in office that is willing to deal with
ALL of the problems of the US at hand, and not sweep them
under the war.
