I went past a Pontiac dealer in Savannah, GA on Thursday and there it was......Brand New 2006 GTO......Wonder how that happened??

It was bright red and looked like a fat Grand Am.....I guess??

I'm not a fan of them but I understand they are pretty QUICK!!

Hey Jack, you car shopping with the wife or something? :P IIRC the GTO's run mid to high 13's in the 1/4 mile. You could take her. :burnout:

I had an 04 and have written about it previously. That car had 350hp and was the fastest car I ever drove, the 06 is 400hp. They were selling for around 30k new, so Id bet you could get it for 25-26k and that is a steal.

IF you're a good driver I know of a person near my town that has I believe just an intake and he ran a 12.79 up at Epping. Damn fast, but I'd never drive one. Like Brian stated, probably a left over. The Chevy dealer next to my school has about 8 of them on the lot. The most action they've seen is driving further back into the lot.

Maybe they keep "Dribbling" in from Australia??

I wonder how dealers forecast sales for cars with long lead times??

They were not limited production cars were they??

$25K ain't that bad for a Muscle Car....but it sure is "Plain Ole Ugly"!!!:argue:

i work at a buick pontiac gmc dealer ...we PDI'd(pre-delivery inspection) numerous GTO's in late 05 and early 06 ...till this day they still shuffle 6 GTO's around the lot and continuosly drop the price...seems they cant get rid of them...ive put batteries on 3 on them due to "lot rot"...truthfully the ones we do sell do not have problems..

I've only seen one here, at least one that I could definitely identify as a GTO and not a GrandAm

I'm surprised they didn't sell better. Seems worse than the Marauder.
We sure heard plenty about poor Marauder sales, why don't we read about poor GTO sales?
