I ran a search on "temp guage" and came back with nothing on this topic, so here it goes.
I was driving to Pep Boys last night got onto the pedal pretty hard next to one of those Acura Cl Type S cars. After runnig hard all the way to the store, I checked my temp guage only to find that it was buried. It wasn't picking up ANYTHING. Has anyone else had this problem? Can some one tell me where the sensor is so I can check the wires/harness.

Ok, I dropped off my MM at the dealer this morning to have the temp guage checked out. It won't even move, the needle is just buried. I figured the sender would be bad and it seems I was correct. The service dept. just called and said they have one of their guys driving out to another dealer up north (50+ miles) to get the part so I can get the MM back today (with a working guage!). If there's any odd explanation for why the sender went at only 600 miles, I'll post it as a heads up for all.

I just picked up my MM. The original sender was supposedly bad from the start (even though it worked for about 500 miles). They got a new sender and brought it back to the dealership, only to find that it was also bad. A test of the guage showed that it had full sweep and was fine. A new sender is being overnighted... I will stop down there on Saturday morning to have it installed (15-20 minute process).

I've had temp senders do that to me as well. Not in the Marauder though

I bought it at IRWIN L & M in Freehold, NJ. The service is satisfactory. There's one tech there that is the ONLY one I'll let touch my car - John. He's got a tricked out black Lightning with about $12,000 in work. I know he respects a car and keeps everything clean as a whistle when he works. As far as his abilities as a tech? Who knows... but I'd rather have the MM in the shop for a week and come out perfect than in for two days and have a few scratches on the top of the fender.
BTW... new sender installed (15 minutes) and everything's perfect now. Yippeeee!!
