I have the stock meters in my car now, and just recieved the new ones...I need to know , on the volt meter, where the red/ yellow one gets connected to on the new one, as well as the black, and the white wires.
Also, does the car come equipped with a sending unit for the oil pressure already installed on the block, or do I have to use the one that came in the kit?
I have viewed as many of the threads that are relevant as I could, but none of them give a definitive "the wire goes here" description.

Aloha,
Check out posts put up by

* jdando - this one has the best pics (This ones located inside of 60sec_assassin post)
Hit the search button - enter "autometer oil gauge" you'll find these guys
You need to use the new sender w/ an adopter to thread it into the port - you can use the original sender wire, so don't damage it when cutting off the electrical end.
Black goes to the middle top / red/yellow (switched power source) goes on the right trminal / white/red is the signal from the sender - goes on the left *This is oreinted when the light bulb is at the twelve o'clock position

very good...THank you very much.
In hooking up the new oil gauge, When I turned it on for the first time, the needle read over 100psi... I new that had to be wrong, so the service dept. where I work is putting on the new sensor that came with the gauge.
What is the normal readings that both gauges are to display?

Oil should be around 70psi at start up and reduce down to @ 25-35 psi when warmed up depending on the oil viscosity your using. Voltmeter should read @ 13.5 volts when all accessories are "OFF", and @ 8-10 volts when "ON"

Got one of the mechanics to hook up the oil sensor....works great. Can't wait until dark to light them up.
