It will take at least 3 or 4 months for the sound to truly kick in.....I have the super 40's and I love 'em!!

I have them too with the rest stock and really like the sound. Especially when the car is cold and you hit that 2300-2500 rpm band. Since great.

Was just muffler replacement or pipes as well? Flowmaster advised me they don't make a muffler for Marauders. I know, sounds nuts. Can you tell me what part number the mufflers were (Flowmaster 40s that is)?

 Flowmaster told me they don't make a muffler for Marauders. I know. Couldn't tell you how many members have Flowmaster 40s. Did you have to replace any parts of the exhaust or move the tips back? Also, what Flowmaster part number was it for the mufflers?

Hey guys...
Get a set of Megs resonator delete tips from Wes. Then you'll REALLY hear how those 40's sound.
My exhaust is stock except for 40's and the Megs.
People that drive behind me say it sounds mean as hell.

Not just the Flowmasters, but the delete tips?Innovative Interceptors is the vendor site, and Wes is the man to talk to. While you're at it, check out the newest 4" delete tips.

4" delete tips are NOT NEW.
They are a part that is manufactured by Megs
and sold through Innovative Interceptors.
For the current availability and pricing, please talk to Wes.
They are also going to make your exhaust VERY LOUD.
So consider your local ordinances prior to installing these.

Flowmaster does not make a direct bolt in muffler. You can buy the correct offset but you will need to weld in about 6" of additional pipe as the flowmasters are shorter. I bought part number 42441 which is for 2-1/4" pipe (someone told me on this site to get that size) when the exhaust pipe is actually 2". If I had to do it again I would have ordered 42041.
Anyway, I offered this guy $50 each and he took it, so try this guy out:
