I've noticed that both of my front arm rests have wear on the forward lower edge.
Showed the dealer and after looking at 4 other cars on the lot they had the same "wear".
Anybody else have this same wear?
Did you have it fixed?
The interiors of all ford/mercury products wear like crap. Dont let them tell you "oh this isnt normal" because it is. The interior is the only thing i hate about the car. It feels, smells, and looks great in the beginning, but after a short time it wears out. I have a '96 Chevy Tahoe 4dr with 110k miles, and it looks like brand new, and a 1999 vic, which looks like crap. The ford interior as installed on the panther platform cars is just plain cheap made stuff. I am going to have to redo the entire interior of my car to have it match my liking.

The quality of the plastic, rugs, door trim, etc has gotten worse over the years. On the panther cars, the carpeting over the transmission housing is actually a piece of cardboard with carpet ove it.......
My 89 Crown Vic LX was made much better.... closer to a Town Car of the same year...
I noticed the wear on my arm rests, a couple of days after delivery. I just haven't wasted the time yet, to get it repaired.

I'm hoping somebody jumps in here that has had the arm rest replaced.
I'd sure like to see a new one right out of the box.
