Why Marauder 57? What's the significance of the number 57?

I have to admit those are some pretty good responses and they are probably more exciting than the truth....so here goes....

Joe Namath and I are in the huddle in the Orange Bowl.....in the SuperBowl...Colts are up.... ;)

Nah but seriously 57 was my football number through High School and College....picked it from the All Pro and Best Center to ever play the game Dwight Stephenson of the Miami Dolphins....loved to watch that guy play. And Yes despite my Free Safety like physique (not) I did play center.

And as you know the Center does not get to score 4 touchdowns...we get to make the guy who does look good....but I did have a shot at a touchdown once.....ball got loose and was fumbled into the endzone....I was trucking towards that thing staring at it like a Turkey on Thanksgiving on a desert island...and just as I am pouncing on it some little jerk hops on it instead.... DANG IT........that was as close as I got.....

Ultimately to me Marauder57 sounded much better than 34yearoldwhiteguy......... :D

Hey 57 i played two days worth of college ball...stepped in a hole on the brand new practice field and had a very nice couple months limping around with a dang near brand new knee...

Oh yeah, well I watched some college football. Or at least I think I did. Our team was not so good, so we drank a lot at the games. It was okay, though, the stadium was on campus, so we didn't drive afterwards. :coolman:

Well I hate to let you in on a little secret....whether the team is winning or losing.....everyone still drinks a lot. :D
