Okay boys and girls.
First off, it looks like weather is going to be great for us!!
It looks like there are now 43 cars, including 5 MARAUDERS!!!!!!
The Gates open up at 8:00AM, and Tech begins as soon as we arrive from Columbus. please do not wait until 10 to arrive
Runs begin at 10, and end at 4.
Lunch is going to be around Noon. Lunch is being provided by our club.
The Track's Fuel Center will be open at 9:30, and again at 1:00.
Long sleeves and Jeans are required (a jacket will work).
I don't think ANY of us have to worry about DS Loops or Helmets or anything. Tech is being done by the club, and they are not really enforcing anything, except for long sleeves and jeans. That is.....unless you are going to run 11's :D
With this being a Private Meet, if you break on the Track, the Track will clean it up. The cath...YOU pay for it. So...lets be careful.
I am bringing a few folding chairs, and a 10' x 10' Canopy Tent. I am also bringing a cooler of drinks (NO ALCOHOL!!!) I would recommend you bring drinks as well, and possibly snackage.
If anybody has a decent Battery Powered Radio....that could be useful as well. :D
Also, FRS RADIOS!!!!!
See you guys tomorrow!!!!!

I intend to be at the fuel-mart (or whatever it is) at the corner of SR57 Grafton Road and SR82 Royalton Road at 7 a.m. sharp.
Ken...meet me there as we did before. We'll pick up Mark whom lives just down the street, and he will lead us in the backwoods way to Norwalk.
Booya!!!

I hope Dockers are OK, as I haven't worn my jeans in so long, they don't fit! Gotta do something about that!!

At the beginning of the week we feared cold rainy weather, but then were given an ironic change to 82+ degrees, high humidity, and poor track prep.
I never ran better than 12.7 and 60' times were aweful and never better than 1.9.
A picture tells a thousand words....thank God...because I do not have a thousand words.
We came to my house, ate like kings, drank excessively, and burned everything in site into the wee hours.
It was a good day.;)

By the way that's not the same car! Other than those three pics, a great day. No personal bests, but a beautiful day relaxing with friends.
A Big Thank You to our gracious host, Jess. You're the best!

Eh.....Traction sucked for me.
Not sure why....oh yeah...I trashed my Transmission :D
Still whooped up on the Goats though :D
I ended up running a best of 13.08 w/ a crappy 60'.
I even tried Barry's ET's, did a MASSSSSSSIVE burnout :D and, still.....nada. There was ZERO spin, and a solid bark at 1-2 and a chirp at 2-3.
This gives me an excuse to upgrade the Trans and install my TC

So Barry and Steve both broke? What happened?
No need for 1,000 words, just a few will do.

Other than issues stated earlier, the day was still better than being at work.
BTW, it's me dead in the grass (see previous post) at the scene of the accident/homocide...
The passers by did some rubber necking at the body in the grass, while all those "under cover cop cars" and flat bed were on scene. Guess you had to be there. Anyway, it was relaxing to take a break from pushing two 4400 lb cars earlier.
Barry and Jess' THANKS AGAIN for the unplanned, impromptu evening gathering.

You were Kevin right?
I never did catch your name, but I remember giving you my Nikon, and not coming back for it for a lonnnnnggg time. Oushing that monster better than a quarter mile took awhile.:D
I will tweak the pics tomorrow, load 'em here, and link 'em there. They will be low res online, but 10.2 meg for those who request originals good enough for poster size.;)
