Good old American V8's. Even with the luxurious wrapper - it will still inhale miles of highway at top speed.

i dont understand the point of blowing off brand new tiresWho said anything about brand new tires? (except at the track) Now, soon to be replaced tires, that's another story. :burnout:

If only I could figure out how to post my tire smokin' video...

it was probably a rental

If it was a rental, the person is going to be screwed since they measure the tread before and after, not smart.

How do you know this? Has it happened to you?

No. Friends. My friend rented a Charger and before he left, they went out and measured the tread and he had to pay money for "abusing the tires." Not to mention my friend's Dad owns his own Limo service and he talks to the rental people at airports and they measure the tread width.

I've rented many cars. At least 11 times this year so far. Have never had anyone measure the tread depth. I guess Hertz doesn't care.....

I just bought a Lincoln Town Car and would never do that to it as long as I still have my MM.

The cars I usually end up getting from the FRCA couldn't spin the tires enough to wear 'em down!:shake:

Don't ever buy a car that I rented............

I don't think they measure tread on all cars. only the ones perceived to be able to do a burnout. Charger comes to mind.

No one expects people to do this in a Lincoln. Maybe they should! LMAO

I also have left open liquor bottles in the glove box by mistake twice at one location. I still rent at that location all the time. Nobody seems to care...
