A friend at work has a Honda S2000 show car with BFG tires. He was showing his car at a BFG Kick Asphalt show. They told him to invite friends. So he did. The event is aimed at tire dealers. There were 3 street cars.
Lexus IS300. Yokohama and BFG KDW tires.
Jetta 1.8 Turbo. Yokohama, Nitto and BFG Scorcher
Nissan 350Z. BFG KD
You get to drive all 3 on parking lot mini-courses.With the Lexus and Jetta you get 1 lap as a passenger and 2 laps alone. With the 350Z you get 2 laps alone then they time your 3rd lap.
We finished off with Hummer H2s. One with stock tires and one with BFG mud tires. They had a mini-offtrack course for them.
The Lexus had BFG KWD tires. Which are apparently the slightly more grown up version of the Marauder KDWS. Every one rated the BFG above the Yokos. :)
I have never pushed a car like this before. Glad they were not my tires!
Finished off with lunch. Great deal and fun for $0.
