My son recently bought a house. We made an end table out of a holed aluminium block.

Looks Awesome, you know many automotive companies would pay top dollar for your design, I did some consulting for Chrysler, at one of thier offices they had a bench made from an old plymouth front seat with extra padding and leather stiched. I asked the office manager about it, she told me that a local art\furniture gallery made it, it costed a little over 3 grand. Ouch.

How much does that weigh??????

Just the bare block is 60 pounds.
Looks like the dreaded 4.6l "Y" motor with the optional window at the #3 journal. Probably driven by an eighty-year-old for 23,000 hard miles before she gave up for no apparent reason!
Have you considered trying out for HGTV? Nice job! I'd be proud of that. What are yas gonna do for a coffee table?

That is very nice. Congratulations on the invention, and application. I think it's fantastic, and, ... thanks, for sharing.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the site.
BTW, just make sure that all this is too heavy for the future girlfriend to try to move while you are not at home. :jk:
