I'm happy to announce that I'm the proud new owner of Trilogy #58. Bought it from Dave (TechHeavy) yesterday. :banana2:
Anyhow...I'll be on the forums alot....asking some questions that have been asked a million times...but i'll try to use the search button.
I've got a few mods in mind and would appreciate any feedback or help on any.
1. Window Tint 35% All Around.
2. Decent Subwoofer and Headunit with Aux Input. (Radio needs to fit in the same size as stock unit)
3. Working Oil Pressure Gauge.
4. The Biggest Moonroof Possible.
5. Decklid Spoiler - Picking one up on Ebay pre-painted.
6. Zach's Grill.....Prefer Black Surround with Chrome bars......does he still make these ?
7. HID's - Don't know if it's possible on these cars.
8. Is there a recommended exhaust upgrade for Trilogy cars ?
Thanks !!
Dave,
I think your going to find that I'm taking great care of the car......

With regard to the exhaust, I'd check out the garage section and see what the other Trilogy MMs are running. Search the Trilogy forums also.
Congrats and good luck!!

Update:
I've been busy ordering parts for Trilogy 58....and have some pics to show my progress so far. I've got the simple stuff covered. (Almost)
I've got some before and after shots.

After:
Mods:
1. Remove All Badges including Rear Mercury Emblem. Rather than use the black look...I dipped the front emblem in acetone to chrome it up. Of course I had to get my satellite radio in.....and Garmin Nuvi GPS.
2. Exhaust adjustment so that it's back to the stock look....with a slight view from the top.
3. Spoiler......all I can say is WOW. It came out great. I'm glad I measured twice and drilled once.

Of course there are alot more mods that will be done very shortly.....(by next weekend)
35% Tint
Subwoofer Upgrade
"Real" oil pressure gauge
Pro Guard
Zach's Badgeless Grill ! Black on Black
6000k HID's
Then it's time to save up for some control arms and torque converter. I'd really like to upgrade to a locking rear differential.
Anyone interested in buying a set of lightly used Marauder fender badges ?
Sweet!
Grill is done and ships today.
What did you fill the rear badge holes with?

Crack cream.
Looks nice, I just like the look without all the badges, gives it a real nice look.

Car looks really nice. Clean look with out the badges, too. Go to meets and listen to others exhausts, find one you really like. get a ride to check the inside and then copy them if it works for you. It is totally subjective. Dennis

Well I'm not very proud of my Hole filling technique.......thus it is temporary. I just cut some very small pieces of electrical tape to cover the holes. With the spoiler it's very difficult to see. I tried a few badges...but it looks much better without them IMHO.
You really should have waited on the spoiler then.
A professional can fill the holes, then paint from the lip of the trunk down to the plastic trim. Then you install the spoiler and cover the paint line.
Your weather stripping will undoubtedly be destroyed when you remove the spoiler, but I suppose that can be replaced.

I just wasn't ready to have the holes welded and the deck re-painted. There's a possibility that I'll be considering a paint job in the next year or so, but it's good to know you can just have the back section done without having to repaint the whole trunk. With the aftermarket spoiler...there's no 3M tape and there's just a gasket around the perimiter of the part touching the deck. The only thing that would be affected if I were to remove it, would be the sealant I used at the body holes.
Got the Pro-Guard and Oil Pressure gauge today. Will definitly get them on soon.......gotta find the "help" topic for the install pics.

Zach,
The foam gasket was attached to the spoiler...and there was no tear tape on the other side. Just the way the ebay version comes I guess.
KillJoy,
I went with the Black on Black ....unfortunatly he isn't making the chrome ones anymore.

Congrats! Trilogy cars are the NUTS!!! Actually any S/C'd Marauder is ok by me, but Trilogy cars are the NUTS!
I've been running Cobra manifolds and the Magnaflow X to 2.5 exhaust and some grand sounding tailpipes with delete tips. I like it, but I have the SW headers waiting in the wings, they'll go on in July.

you can get a incar satellite antenna for sirius on ebay if you are interested. It is call the Sigma Antenna. I got one, mounts to inside top of windshield. I put it in the far right side and with the windshield sunshade you barely see it from out side.
It really cleans up the outside.

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check it out. On my F150 I put the antenna on the dash with no problems...it's just that this one rattles...and is annoying inside the car.
Windsheild mount antenna sounds like one of the next mods for sure !

Great start. Nice job so far. Keep it up. Don't tell anyone that you like the Trilogy. Seems to make some people grumpy. :) Dennis

After installing the front grill, I had to clean up the rest of the front end of the car. I moved the Sirius Antenna to the passengers side dash...and reception is still pretty good. Also replaced were the winter wiper blades. I got a set of "CarQuest" replacements at the local gas station. They have just a little hidden bling...

D1 CC answers and suggestions.
1. Only if you like living in the dark, personally I like seeing out at night but that is just me.
2. I'm looking at the Sony SACD unit with either a tape deck or centre speaker in the second slot, Steve mentioned a Pioneer on dash centre speaker option. You would probably want to upgrade your speakers too.
There are great Avic solutions also.
3. Easy to put in, you might want to consider a Oil Temperature guage though.
4. You are a good client for the 2005 Marauder convertable. Not sure how the doors would work, might have to put suicide doors on or just take the back doors off.
5. I'm thinking of using a rear camera instead.
6. Spray paint and newspaper?
7. anything is possible, it just costs money. If you don't have any left, Sylvania makes some cheap near HID white light options.
8. ?
