I am looking to put in a torque converter(3000), pulleys, and electric water pump with the money. im wondering what you guys recomend for the converter, i was thinking 3000. I want to keep this car as a daily driver, dont want wierd ticks, noises, or decrease in ride quality(dont know if converter will cause any of this). just wondering if you guys could help me out. right now i have 373gears, KN intake, and predator programmer, magnaflow mufflers, and one set of cats taken out. i did a search on this site about the converters but just want some input for my setup.

I was going to say exhaust, but you got it pretty good for now, unless you want headers. I'd go with a PI 3k t/c, most of the members here have that I believe and I have one myself. You could do NOS maybe?

thanks for the input. i dont want to use NOS. did the 3000 TC affect anything other than moving the car faster?

I don't know....haven't installed it yet lol. People say it gives your more of a big block feeling and you can really feel the power down low.

Call the guys at PI for their recommendation on what TC to use.

hey fastblackmerc. i talked to them the other day they recomended a 3000tc, just wanted to do some more research. ill be ordering it this week and probably getting it installed next week.
I have a 3000 stall TC and driveability is only slightly affected. The gains are huge in comparison. It took a solid .5 second off my 1/4 mile times. The car gets out a lot quicker.
I like your list of mods. You should be able to purchase and install all those for under 2K. You can do the pulleys and pump yourself if you can turn a wrench or cut wire. I would reccomend getting the Moto Blue pulleys as they are sfi approved or get some steeda's from DR.
Definitely make a few 1320 runs before and after you do your mods. You will have fun and you will know exactly what you got for your money. I predict a gane of abpot .6 - .8 seconds.
You might want to spend some money on a custom tune, or I can hook you up with a guy who can send you a custom mail order tune for the predator for a lot less then a dyno session.

hey juno, i am definitely interested in the custom tune for the predator. can you PM me or tell me what i need to do. i think the tune that i got now is more suited for a mustang being thats what the predator was advertised for. thanks. hey what exactly was slightly affected as far as driveability?

i agree with you. just to clarify my reason for stating i had 2500 was to let anyone helping me know what i had available so i dont have someone recomending a S/C when i dont have the money for it.

do the converter, gears, exhaust, underdrives and a tune. Should put in 13's easy!

With the stall converter there is a little slip while it spins up and engages. Try to drive a car with a high stall if you can.

not to sound dumb, but when you say a little slip, im thinking that when i hit the gas it hesitates for a sec?
Not exactly, nore like a slight slip of a clutch, the motor spins up and the car starts to move until it catches up. If your tune is good, it is barely noticeable and becomes very acceptable when you get used to the added grunt. :)
