My lumbar support stopped working. I dont know what to look for. It still makes the noise like its filling up but not the same noise.....Its a little different. It does not fill up the bag at all like a hose or what ever it is that fills it is loose. I dont know the first spot to look nor how to get under the seat cover to look and see if something came loose. Any help would be appreciated....I am out of warranty so that wont help.

I've never taken one apart. Perhaps the only way to get at it is taking out the entire seat?

Gee....I hope not
Today is a post "strange noise, stranger fix" talks about the Lumbar support device interfering with the radio. What's going on here?

If you can't fix it...a ferret works nicely.:D

The lumbar support is simply a compressor and a bladder with a relay and valve which allows the deflation of the bag and also maintains the desired pressure.. Chances are the air supply line popped off and the noise you hear is the air escaping from the compressor and not filling the bladder.
Check under the seat while depressing the button, you may find the line which dislodged.. You may also be able to remove the front bolts from the seat and loosen the backs and tilt the seat towards the rear of the car for greater access to the bottom of the seat.. Richy

Richy,
I have seen under the seat fine by raising it,,,,,,everthing is in order below the seat, I believe the problem is in the seat back and I need to know how to get in there with out me tearing anything up.
