Towards the middle of this he really attacks the 300C SRT.

My question is: Is he correct?
Is it really a "ferry boat with a really huge engine on it" and "rubbish to drive"? (I'm assuming the Charger and 300 are almost exactly the same beyond the superficial differences.)
I've been looking at the SRT's and this is a bit disappointing. I figured this would be the best place to ask because I can hear from people who can compare the Marauder and the 300/Charger so I can see how bad/good the 300/Charger really is.
I mean, I love the Marauder, and if the 300/Charger is better, then that guy is really picky...

i don't know if it's a case of "better", but certainly not the same
and in the video, the guy is comparing an import. Seems like typical bias, even though the Chrysler is based on older Mercedes parts

At the end it also kind of shows modern technology over older school large displacement

More American bashing at its best. Simply rubbish!!!!
I have a 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi in addition to the Marauder. There are some things I like better about the 'Rauder, and some things I like better about the Hemi.
The Marauder reminds me of old school American muscle. The look, the stance, the sound, the feel... all remind me of an older car. That's not a bad thing, and one reason I bought it. The Marauder is a hot rod.
The Daytona, being of Mercedes heritage, is a little more refined. The seats are more comfortable. It rides better. It has a little more interior room. And it's body structure is much tighter and stiffer. But the ESP is very intrusive, and cannot be totally shut off (except in police and SRT versions). Forget about throwing the Daytona into a slide, not gonna happen. It's more like a touring car than a hot rod.
Think of the Marauder as your favorite pair of jeans, and the Daytona as your favorite pair of khakis. Both nice, but different.

I really can't stand Jeremy Clarkson. I downloaded the first six seasons of that show off torrents and all he does is bash American cars and Americans any chance he gets. He's way too pompous.
That win for the M5 isn't very impressive considering it has 500hp and a V10 for twice the cost.

It's fairly impressive considering the disparity in displacement. Other than that, no

Yeah, He's a dufus.:puke:
Very different cars and for a $40K difference the M5 SHOULD beat the 300.
Most auto rags rate the M5 right about 13 sec flat in the 1/4 mile. 300 Srt8 about 13.5 sec. Race was decided at the starting line.

Richard Hammond is much nicer than his co-host (except the part about the Dukes of Hazzard):

Time for him to take a MIDOL....he's in full PMS rage!...Pompous Douche!
Yeah, Let's compare a car that costs TWICE as much and determine that.....:hmmm: ....It's a better car!
Next time compare a BMW Z4 to a Z06 Vette, at not EVEN twice the price!
I wonder how much slack he would cut our Marauders because they have FOUR Camshafts!

That boob is just a frustrated old anti-American hack. He's the same clown that went down south last year with NASCAR sucks painted all over his car and about got his ass kicked. I think he slams American stuff just to get ratings up actuially. RE: the 300C SRT, Ive never driven one but I have driven the 300C Hemi and I can tell you its a hellofa nice car. Different from our Marauders though, our cars are definitely more old school, the 300C felt a bit tighter and quicker too. That said, it seemed a much smaller car and I prefer my MM any day.
