Come on...regardless of whom sold you something...CALL THEM DIRECT.
I know you have those cool toys called TELEPHONES even out there in Nevada....I built part of the network.
I didn't mail out instructions however....damnit...critical step 546...mailing instructions...I'll get right on that if the PO is still open.
Someone is there to answer the phone during normal hours every work day.
I bet if I call tomorrow at 9 am EST someone will answer the phone. I won't....:D...but I am willing to bet.
However, posting your issue openly will definately solve the problem.

Kooks take a while , they are not just sitting around on the shelf anywhere.
Not even at kooks.
these are a hand made work of art you ar waiting for. It will be worth the wait be patient.
Mine took forever...I ordered mine just when they were moving their shop a ways back....it took 4 months to get them, but there is nothing else like them.
My friend in Canada never got his...lost in the mail....had to have another set made up...that took a while too.
So...if all you have waited is 30 days, you have 60 to 90 more.....relax
Soon eight little trumpets will be playing your tune

Ummm... Let me count the times I've called.
1st time to place order, and ask questions.
Notice: was not told that Kooks bending machine was broke, and it would be a while till they fixed it, until after I had given him my Credit Card Number.
2nd time the day after I had placed the order because my Credit Card had been Charged In Full, I and was wondering if they shipped my Exhaust earlier than expected. Cause usally when my card is charged, the product in question had been shipped.
3rd time was worried because the Credit Card Bill came in, and I still didn't have my Exhaust System. I didn't want to pay a bill if I need to have the card credited back or get the ball rolling on a charge dispute. But his Secretary assured me that there was no problem.
So I thought I'd post this to see; 1) Dennis's response and 2) If anyone else would have any input.
I didn't think there could be any harm in this. right

Good phone usage.
I purchased mine directly from Nick. I was one of the first 12 kits ever sold.
He ran my card, and it took easily 2 months before I had them.
I got impatient as well.
But low and behold, one day, a big....and I mean BIG...box showed up at the house.
Things were sunny again.;)
I know dealing with Dennis can be a pain at times. But I am sure the hold up is at the other end.

I pay-palled for Stainless Works IN ADVANCE for another equally as beautiful hand made work of art. They took 13 weeks total to arrive. I was impatient. I called everyone short of God. They came. I was happy. The quality of the product has definately out-weighed the waiting and impatience. You'd have the same time frame from any vendor for either long-tube system.
Any vendor having to order from a manufacturer for a custom fabricated part has to pay in advance. Since they have to pay in advance, you also must pay in advance. FTC rules are fine, however one must respect the notion that custom is custom. These things are not just boxes on a shelf waiting to ship. The are hand-crafted one-at-a-time.
The lack of tracking info/time frame is not the vendor's fault. I'm sure when the vendor receives the info, so then will you.
In the same time you took to post this in an open public forum, you could have sent an email to dreinhart@aol.com and received a prompt response right from the horse's mouth. Perhaps your intentions were pure, but your wording carries a bit of a 'vendor bashing' air.
May I suggest this phrasing instead: "Is it normal for long-tube headers to take a long time? How long has it taken others to get Marauder long-tubes? Is it normal to pay in advance?"
Answers: Yes, long tubes are custom built and take freakin' forever. Mine took 13 weeks from order to delivery. Yes, I paid 1 week after order.
Relax.

Regardless, FTC rules are quite specific about when a cc can be charged. The general practice of just running cards right away and knowing it is going to take forever to get something has to stop.

Yes they are. If this were a box-off-the-shelf situation, you'd be right. However, this is a custom part with no time commitment. Custom parts take how long they take. I think this is the operative phrase:
"Reasonable basis" means that the merchant has, at the time of making the representation, such information as would under the circumstances satisfy a reasonable and prudent businessperson, acting in good faith, that the representation is true.
Further, any member of this site and surely any customer of custom headers for this car themselves being 'reasonable and prudent' should have the knowledge that these items are indeed custom and hand made and understand the ramifications thereof.

I ordered my Stainless Works long tubes, directly from Stainless Works. Not a vendor here, not a group buy. Mine took 4 weeks, and were coated to boot.
Anyway...good luck getting the info you seek.

Last summer I called Kooks, 7 days later full system was installed by them.
I was given a tour of the plant and it is a big operation. I don't beleive they would have a bending machine down for more than a day or two.
Give Kooks a call and verify the wait!

Its certainly not just the vendors here. I contracted a fencing job with one of the two large nationwide home improvement stores. I was told we will not charge your card until the job is done. B.S. The cob job is done and I'm still waiting on them to correct it.

Jeffery every customer is important to me,we called and have got your voice mail three times, every set of kooks is hand made they do not stock them, we sent three sets out last week yours is the next set, I spoke to Jorge at kooks today, I am sorry for the delay, but go look at how long it took members to get stainless steel headers on there GB, so if you have a problem call, that is what we are here for.
Now for the other posts here this is a issue between my company and my customer.
