This is a REALLY BIG DEAL! I hope Ford can duplicate and improve on this feat next year as well! I hope Ford does a corporate-wide tele-conference for ALL employees, even shutting down the production lines to have an in-house celebration! If you study the list, Toyota did not have a single car in the bunch! Every one of Toyota's (incl. Lexus) winners (4) was an SUV, Truck, or crossover -- no cars!
I'd like to see Ford overtake Toyota in quality at least 2 years running! Mind you, I have nothing against Toyota, but I firmly believe that they are vastly overrated!

I personally think too much is made about the JD Power surveys. I mean, it's all well and good
that Ford is showing fewer Things Gone Wrong during the first 90 days, but what's going to be
more crucial to Ford's success is Things Gone Right. That is to say, when the bean counters
dictate, for instance, all that horrid cheap plastic in the Mustang interior, that's not a JD Power
offense. It's not broken. But it doesn't say good things about Ford's quality either.

And JD Power won't tell you anything about transaxles that don't outlast the payment book.

People can talk all they want about whether Toyota or Honda are overrated, but when the time
comes to buy that next new car, I can guarantee you that those two POS Windstars Ford sold
me, and then didn't stand behind, are gonna count against them. Today, I'd buy a Honda without
any warranty at all, while Ford will have to offer 100K mile protection just to get me into the
showroom. The reality is, Ford has made a lot of enemies out of it's loyal Customers, and they're
now reaping what they planted. It'll take years to overcome all the ill will they've banked.

If you go to JDPower.com they list the Mark LT as a MAV (multi activity vehicle) Kinda weird cause the F150 is under Large pickup...

3rd overall for Lincoln...good job Ford!

Though I still stand by my stance that the Mark LT is an abomination and should not exist. When used on a Lincoln, the word Mark should be followed by a roman numeral, and should be applied to a CAR. Preferably one with only two doors. ( I will grant a variance on that due to the existance of 4-door Mark VI's and the '58-'60 models using the Mark III/IV/V nameplate, though not technically part of the actual family...)
