I know that it has not been long since Freddy died, but after much careful consideration and thought I will be getting married again on July 14th 2007. Yep. Next month. I will be marrying Twyla, whom you local guys know from our dinners and meets and you non-locals may have met at MVIV. She had/has been a very close friend and companion of ours for the last year and a half, spending nearly all her free time with us and becoming a very significant part of our lives. We had both grown to love Twyla very much. One of the things that life has taught me in the last ten years or so is not to put off for the nebulous future that which could be done today. I am choosing not to stay single, and to be with someone I already love very much. We make each other disgustingly happy and are an excellent match. We have also witnessed each other under extreme stress. Twyla was with us as much as possible while Freddy was so sick and spent her weekends in Gainesville to be with us at the end.

Noone in our immediate families was surprised. Geesh. I guess I worry too much.

Life is a helluva rollercoaster, isn't it?

This will be Twyla's first wedding, and my third. I am attempting to make it special for her, since it will be her ONLY wedding. ;) Feel free to PM me for the details if you would like to attend.

Congratulations!:banana2:

Tie a slip not, do not allow a granny knot to be tied. It's called a granny knot for a reason.

Do Not, I repeat Do Not allow the Bull Ring to be placed in your nose.

Always introduce her as your number one wife. Always act crazier than her.

Follow the above steps and you will always be happy.:D

Mike, you must be crying as much as I am lately. I find that I am getting more and more emotional as I age.

Twyla was already on Freddy's "pre-approved" list. :)

I actually have trouble believing that there is someone else on the planet crazy enough to want to live with me full time. I am not easy to live with by any stretch of the imagination.

Best man, groomsman, maid of honor and bridesmaid will be wearing all black. Does that count as Marauder-style? ;)

Black, white and purple are the colors for the wedding chosen by the bride-to-be. I told her I would be happy with whatever colors she liked. Am I a good husband or what?

We WILL be driving Blue Thunder for the honeymoon.... So technically there is Blue-ness involved... Twyla DOES love Marauders.

Are Marauder parts an appropriate wedding gift?

Seriously. I'll start a registry!!! Who's game?

Speak up, Pete! What's Blue Thunder need?

I am sure she would be up for it, but I haven't mentioned it to her. Things will be tight for a time due to motel, funeral, wedding and honeymoon expenses piled all together so fun stuff like that will be out of the question for a while. We also hope that she will be able to take a month or so "vacation" in between jobs after we get back from the honeymoon in order to whip the house back into shape.

Congrats! I have an employee and friend in a very similar situation. She was concerned about what her friends and family thought about her marrying her recently deceased friend's husband. Seemed to make since to me. They'd been friends and had been through a lot together. That ought to make a strong foundations.

Best wishes and best of luck.

Pete, perhaps you and Twyla can find the time and loose pocket change to make our CAM sponsored Marauderville-V. Fuel costs, excepted, this should be the lowest cash outlay get together of any major MM event, to date.

Hagerstown was selected because of reasonable room rates and central location. Many of the events are either completely funded or subsidised by co-operation between CAM fund raisers and substantial financial support from MM.net.

It's just not in the cards this year. The honeymoon will be our "big vacation" for the next year or two.

WIFE: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?"
HUSBAND: "Definitely not!"
WIFE: "Why not - don't you like being married?"
HUSBAND: "Of course I do."
WIFE: "Then why wouldn't you remarry?"
HUSBAND: "Okay, I'd get married again."
WIFE: "You would?" (With a hurtful look on her face.)
HUSBAND: (Makes audible groan.)
WIFE: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?"
HUSBAND: "Where else would we sleep?"
WIFE: "Would you replace my pictures with hers?"
HUSBAND: "That would seem like the proper thing to-do."
WIFE: "Would you play golf with her?"
HUSBAND: "I guess so."
WIFE: "Would she use my golf clubs?"
HUSBAND: "No, she's left-handed."

Yes, Marauder parts make great gifts...also 2000 Mustang GT parts...
Thunder still needs 4.10s and Torque conv..heeheehee but those are awfully expensive....

Reinhart Automotive gift certificates would be awfully nice, since I can get speed parts for BOTH cars from Dennis. :) And I am sure they come in many sixes! We are now also registered with Wal-Mart and Target I am told.

Yeah, everything that could be done was done and I was too keyed up with nerves to sleep. Wedding wasn't till eleven anyhow. ;)

Currently still on honeymoon somewhere high above Pigeon Forge, TN.....
