View Full Version : Finally did it! Traded the Bullitt for a Marauder!!!

It wasn't easy to let go of my beloved Bullitt, but I finally traded it in on a Marauder (Silver Birch/Light Flint). It just made more sense for my growing family. Although not as quick as the Bullitt, the Marauder loves to rev and really comes on strong as the RPM's climb. I am particularly impressed with how the big beast handles. I completely expected a nose-diving floater. However, the car feels very sure footed.

I'll post some pictures of her when I get her detailed out to my satisfaction.

Thanks to the good folks on this forum for all the information and advice.

Congrats! I was in the same boat with my ole 98 Cobra. I feel your pain. My delema was cured with an asortment of mods that push this beast anywhere from 12.5x to 11.98 in the 1/4 mile. Much better performance than the ole Cobra, plus it is a unique vehicle.

It still makes me grin! Enjoy the new ride!

That's the plan!

On the wish list:
4.10 gears,
xcal tune
underdrive pulleys
JLT CAI

Those mods should help me forget the Stang.

Congrats Ron! In a way, I'm kind of glad you didn't want to trade me since I don't think I could have let go of my beloved MM. As for the wish list, you're on the right road to a great start.

Congrats on the trade! Bullitts are nice. Marauders are better :D

I would also recommend new Rear Control Arms and Front and Rear Sway Bars.

Last June, I totaled my 03 300A on an Interstate Hi Way at 55 MPH, head on into a concrete raod divider that shouldn;t have been there. Had to get cut out with the "jaws of life " and the insurance adjustor said he had never seen a car in that bad of shape and had have anyone live. The engine head was ripped off, both front doors blown out as well as the hood and front fenders. If it had not been for the excellent air bag system, seat belt and the rienforced front end of the Marauder, Im sure I wouldn't have lived. I bouth my car to drive and found its greatest feature was the safy of the car. jimWms

Happy to hear you survived.

It is a testament to the Pantehr platform. It may be 5 star front crash rating, but that's only because the rating doesn't go higher.

A Chrysler 300c was in a similar head on accident here, the car basically disintegrated and driver perished.
