rides better than my '03 CVPI SAP... but after washing it yesterday I think I made it dirtier after the wash then before, definitely need to get used to doing it right.

Incorporate a little vinegar into your washing routine.
Don't use bath towels to dry.
Buy a California Water Blade (See auto parts store)
Buy some 20% polyamide microfiber towels (Also auto parts store) to wipe up any water that the blade did not get.

I've been using the Mr. Clean Auto Dry since they've been available, about 3 years now and I find that it performs as advertised.....

I don't need a water blade, special towels, blower, animal skins or the the labor that's involved with using them. I just wash the car, rinse off the soap then spray it down with the filtered water setting...... go have your favorite beverage and watch the car dry with no spots.

Jay, I've heard bad things about the "jelly" blades and they should not be used on cars. I used the Mr. Clean on my '95 CV all the time, and I have to say it always pleased me, I had 0 problems with it.

I have a Mr. Clean Auto Dry too and have been using it off and on since 2005. When I need a real quick wash and dry, I use it and the results are very good. Otherwise I do a regular hand wash and dry it off with a chamois.

I second , third and fourth it--whatever it takes--That stuff is G R E A T

The secret is making sure you have rinsed it very well before spraying the final ---NO Problem then----I don't use anything else--and for my wifes BL:ACK '97 T-BIRD as well---......all thanks to my friend ==fastblackmerc

If you dry with a towel make sure it is 100% cotton and white, not coloured.

'microfibre' towels are good but make sure of the quality. Some cheaper ones will scratch the finish

I like using the Mr. Clean AutoDry but I use Rain Dance soap with it
instead of the Mr. Clean soap.
I don't like the sticky residue feeling the Mr. Clean soap leaves on the Marauder.

I just wash and take her out and drive fast enough so that the water flies off:D 85-90mph for a few miles usually does it:burnout:

I use the "jelly" blade and have had no problem. I wipe off the blade everytime I "swipe" it across the car.

Nice ride Russ!!! Looks really clean. I like how those explorers look....better than the older ones.


I used the Mr. Clean thing once. It works like it says but I'll never use it again. It totally strips off the wax. The paint felt "sticky" right after and the deep shine was gone. I had to rewax the whole car.

Just my experience and opinion.
