It gives the front end a sleeker look, I say go for it.

I've thought about putting one on my DTR. Had any probs with parking curb clearance? How flexible is it? Will it be toast 1st time it bumps into something?

It's not fiberglass or some such, IIRC, so I think it would survive a few parking stop excursions.

Zero problems with curb clearance. Its very flexible but wont fold back at 125MPH. ask me how I know ;)

The chin spoiler will clear the parking lot concrete stops.
The problem is that the factory radiator deflector
behind the bumper doesn't clear it.

How about a part number, please?

Is it because you mounted a remote micro camera feeding the image of the lip to a display in the car?? ;)

reminds me of the spoiler I had on my Cobra. I parked one day in a parking spot that had a cement block on the end with a piece of rebar sticking up a couple of inches.

I hooked the rebar on the front end.

It went passed the fibreglass and straight to the metal.

I pryed and tried to move it with my hands but it wouldn't budge.

So I backed up and pulled the rebar out of the ground and knocked the cement end block right over.

It tore the fibreglass catch on the bottom of the steel framing loose but otherwise was ok.

The parking spot was screwed though. Big cement block in the middle of it on an angle.

Since then I park with the back end sticking out. Not so noticeable with smaller cars but with the Marauder it is.

Still better to stick out a bit than get the front end torn loose again.

Ah, another question, does the chin spoiler prevent the radiator deflector from doing its job of putting air into the radiator?

Our last private track meet gave up plenty of room to open the cars up. I was sure to ask around if they saw it folded up as I did a 130 MPH drive by

My radiator deflector was removed over two years ago after I ran over a child's plastic pool on the interstate!!!:mad2::mad2: Never had any heat problems and when I installed the ProCharger it had to be removed anyway!!

The chin spoiler hides the blower tubes nicely and with stock front height the spoiler misses parking lot stops by an inch or so!! My blower tubes barely touch the stops so I still have to be careful!!

I have one on a black 'oo P71. I have hit it a couple of times but it was heavy approaches/departures.

Thanks for the number and offer. I get Ford parts at employee pricing from the dealer I worked at and my dad retired from.

I just did Hotrauder's and it looks BADA$$!!! It blends perfectly with the black rockers. Looks like it was MEANT to be there.

It does look factory. No one would ever guess it is a Mustang part.

I've been holding out on getting one because I can't make my mind up if I want the chin spoiler or a push bumper.

Instead of the push bumper I decided to mount a huge set of bull horns... I'm rollin' Boss Hog style... Yee-hah!
