View Full Version : Yeah I feel dumb now

Started to get ready to install some new front speakers......I don't know how the world I got the idea they were 4x6 speakers LOL.

Yeah so now I have some 4x6 speakers sitting here and no 6x8s. Oh well I'll just give the door panel a good cleaning while I sit here bored at work.

Edit: Anyone know a good product to use to give a little more shine and healthy look to the door panels?

That sucks. If you were handy with some wood or metal you can definitely make it work, but 6x8 sound a hell of alot better than wimpy 4x6s. While you are at it, you might as well sound deaden the door and skin.

Did you see if Crutchfield makes the bracket for that?

Yeah I know I thought about waiting until I got some dynamat xtreme to put on but I figure hell I'll just do the speakers now and dynamat at a later date. Guess I will be doing the right speakers and dynamat both at a later date lol.

Yeah I know their are adapter plates but their's no replacement for displacement lol.

dont feel so dumb, i think the older CV's had 4 by 6s.

You know I think that's exactly why I thought mine were going to be 4x6.

No, the aero Panther's had 5 1/2's up front, and 6x8 or 9 in the rear.

my 97 had 6x8s all around same as the 04.

My two '92 GMLSHPPs and my '95CVPIs took 6x8s up front and 6x9s in the rear.
