Today is the day I picked up my Black Beauty.
We were out in Indiana boating with friends. (Marv and Carol) And I had been talking this car up for so long Marv said he douted I'd ever buy one? And I assured him I was getting the first one the dealership got in? He knew I had test drove one on Saturday the day after they came in the dealership. But , was told those were spoken for and they had lost my order that I had placed in April?
So it"s monday morning we"re going boating and I'm not getting a Marauder, and my buddy is douting Im ever going to get this car I'm nuts about.And I'm not getting the first one the dealership sells, as Ive been crowing about for 3 months? I also knew I had to get personalized plates ,so I wanted first stab at the DMV selection.
Well, at about 3:00 p/m I get a call from my salesmen that he was able to pull a Marauder from the main dealership and bring it to his branch in Peotone Il. I tell him all I have is a wallet with no checkbook ,no transportation and that I'm with friends in another state. I tell him I'll call him back after I talk to my wife and friends.
Marv and Carol agree to take Gail and I and their boat on a road trip to get Gary's Marauder. We end up showing up at the dealership at 8:30 p/m. By 9:30 I'm driving home sunburnt with shorts ,sandels and a t-shirt.
What a day!,What a Great Day!:D
