Actually, it has... run a search on VT Marauder. One was for sale on EBAY a few weeks back. I may be wrong (often I am) but I do believe that VT is doing the work on Mad3R's secret weapon.

Spider0101: Yes it for real. What did you want to know? The link tells you just about everything? Mad-3R is having his engine re-build by these people. Should be one HOT Marauder when finished!!

The reason not mch has been said, is because of the issue of sponsor vs. others. They arn't a sponsor, while trilogy and Kenny are.
And yes, the are working my engine, but i'm not having SC.

I'm interested in any feedback I can get from those who have actually delt with these people. The way this is shaping up is that Trilogy is going to be the bargain, Kenny Brown the middle ground and lets see VT the high ender $$$$$$$$$
Thinking everyone has their HP AND $
range that will entice then to blow off their warranties. 550 hp may be mine.
Way to go MAD3R! I woudln't get the supercharger either. 360hp and a solid TQ curve sounds just perfect plus you'll get good fuel economy. Will the stroker set up be emmisons compliant?
Isn't this what Ford wants to do with their 2004 Ford Mustang Boss 302 that I had heard so much about? It was supposed to be a 5.0L version on the 4.6 DOHC 32V. From what I have seen from the press releases of late, this model hasn't surfaced. Perhaps they are waiting for the new DEW98lite platform to do it on.

I, too, am very interested in VT's stroker setup. I'm not a huge fan of supercharging (I think of it as "cheating"). I like my power to come from a naturally aspirated mill. Trilogy looks pretty good, but I hope VT's motor work will make a statement.

I don't think I am violating any site rule when I relate a personal experience, am I? Guess we'll see.
IMHO...VT is a reputable company to deal with and I was going to let them do some work on my first MM. I had plans to stroke it and rebuild the block similar to Mad-3R's program, based on an engine they offer on the web site. Once I decided to consider breaking into the engine, I drove up to Lansing and met some of the employees, Tom, Dave and Mike.
Tom is a very bright front end manager, personable, and he likes to put things in writing. Dave and Mike remind me of the two from Bartles and James commercials from years ago. But, don't let the reading glasses and suspenders fool you, these two are very sharp and very up to speed, excuse the pun.
I got treated to a tour of the shop, a demonstration of some of the machinery they use, and a visit with the Marauder VT, where I was invited to look it over as closely as I cared to. I probably could have taken a test drive, but it was on a dealer's showroom floor and that didn't look conveinent.
I am impressed with this company, the employees are all highly skilled pros, and very outgoing. It's a big shop, with an inhouse, in ground DynoJet and full machine shop with all the toys. their pricing is very agreeable, my estimate came in much less than I expected.
The Marauder VT is a centrifical Novi build, and the install is clean and very OEM looking. No headers, but the custom exhaust, a CAD/CAE product, is very sweet. The only drawback to the VT, IMHO, are the custom wheels. Very sharp, but a one-of-a-kind set, not good when you need to replace a damaged wheel. the 55K seems a bit stiff, but the car is very clean, and I am sure, very quick. IMHO, when it comes to machine work, or, a serious rebuild, I think you'll be in good hands with VT.
Y'all from Michigan ought to consider holding a dyno day with Team Ford guys, Jerry and Pete at VT. I know I'd drive up from Chicago for that.

Does anyone have 0-60 or 1/4 mile times on the VT ?
