CD Changer - Cross-Reference ??

Is there anyone out there who can 'easily' cross-reference exactly what 6 disk CD changer will plug into a 2002 Mercury Sable.? This Sable has the Automatic Temperature Control, which is integrated into the Radio/CD head unit. (All one piece)

As such, the 6 Disk CD changer was an option (not on this car) that is to be mounted remotely in the trunk. I have seen a lot of folks on e-bay saying that X years will work. I would like to know what part #s I should be looking for.

I tried installing a Non-Ford OEM unit (JVC) for my Wife, but she dosn't like it. Wants it to work with the Head Unit controls. I will be searching for the changer and appropriate wiring harness.

If it's too much work for anyone, just skip it, I can pay a visit to a local F/L/M Dealer.

Anyone know??

CDC-FDR is the part "#" that I find. Check here:

Did a google search for that and other sites are using it as well. Also, IIRC, the changer in my '02 Taurus was in the center armrest, not in the trunk.
