Has anyone been able to get collector insurance for their MM? I have a 74 Ranchero 500 & 88 Corvette that I have insured cheaply with Mileage limitations. I just purchased an Explorer to drive everyday so that I can retire the MM to the garage and just use it for shows & Fun.
That being said I do not wish to give the Insurance Company a full premium for a rarely driven vehicle. If anyone has had success with this please PM me with Name & # of insurer so that I can to the same.

Good Luck! I think you'll have a problem because the MM isn't old enough for collector car status. Hope you can do it.

Some collector ins. companies do accept vehicles less than 25 years old.
IMO the 03/04 Marauders are too new.

Grundy quoted me $475.00 (USA money) per year for a 30k stated value on mine.
I'm just looking into how they handle things when there is a claim before I proceed.
Oh... I believe they put them under "specialty" cars.

Rich - Sounds like a good price. What type of coverage?
Keep us posted. Thanks

They had a booth set up at the All Fords @ Carlisle and I stopped in there.
I even asked if they had "track time" type coverage..... nope they don't.
No mileage limit, but they don't want it to be a daily go to work driver.... that will get you wacked.
I'm just not sure how they are at handling claims.

I have the 03' Black & 04' DTR on my classic policy. At first they didn't want to cover the Marauder but once I explained the limited production and uniqueness of the MM they did.
My agent is Heacock Classic Burns, TN. Been with them for years.
Give Jennifer a call @ 800-274-1804 and see if she can help.
Ps. also have 3 Mark VIII (s) on the policy

I am a gov't salaried employee, so I get huuuuuuge discounts on Geico. Full coverage for me w/ lots of liability, etc works out to around $400 a year w/ 2 drivers.

Yep... and your savings is passed on to the rest of Geico's customers I'd bet.

That's not quite how it works . GEICO = Government Employees Insurance COmpany. Used to insure only gov't employees. Now we just still get a discount.

Shew wow, I wish I payed that little for insurance. Although I have an accident under my belt (not my fault) and being 17 with premium insurance $376 = 3 months, roughly $1500 a year  :bs:. I may need to do some shopping around it seems.
