Have a great time. My grandma lived in Pahoa (just out side of Hilo) until about 2 years ago. I went over a couple of times. Spent most of my time on that side of the island with the black sand beaches, but ventured over to the other side now and then.

And if you are in to UFC at all, BJ Penn has his training headquarters in Hilo.
