Sombody "STOP ME"!! My bling has gotten out of control!! The rims were bad enough, then they had to stick on the Buick port holes.

Why do people insist on vandalizing Marauders?

Three slots on each side only insist it is a six cylinder vehicle, as the classic retro styling goes. If you're gonna do it, do it right and put four...

I want to say "Thanks!" for sending these links in. Although most list members say that these Marauders have been damaged or soiled in some way, they serve a great and noble purpose for me. I take those pics of the Marauders with the 22" wheels and fake portholes on the side, the dreamsicle Marauders, and those with trunks full of amps and huge glowing subs, and I print those pictures out in 8X10 size where possible.
When my MM starts giving me crap, say, a foglight goes out, a new squeak or rattle begins to sound, or it gives me a tank of bad gas mileage, I take those pictures out of the folder, and tape them printed side down to the windshield of my car overnight.
Showing my car what could happen to it if it continues to piss me off has always corrected the problem.

I Love Marauders. And that ain't a Marauder. This hobby is money well spent when money is well spent. I would never put over 20's on a Marauder. And the wheels would have to be. Marauder worthy. Or worthy of a Marauder.

Those vents look more like the ones on the new Escalade to me.
By the way, somone posted about the number of vents meant the number of cyclinders on the Buicks from way back.
Actually, when Buick first used the Venti-ports starting in 1949, all the Buicks had 8 cyclinder engines. The number of porholes indicated which series of Buick the car was. At least in the beginging it did. The lower series cars, the Special, and the Super each had three holes per side, while the top of the line Roadmasters all had four per side. Thier original intention was to be functional and help vent underhood heat, but they quickly became just decorative. !949s are real and do vent heat. In the 50's some guys would put red lights inside of them to make it look like they were breathing fire. At least that was the theroy. It didn't look like it was breathing fire. It looked like your engine was running too hot and glowing !

That's true about the portholes.
It's only in most recent time that it has, incorrectly, come to mean the number of cylinders of the engine. To Buick it still indicates trim level I think.
Are there even any 8 cylinder Buicks today?

One of mty customers came in last saturday and told me he is a member on this site now and was suprised to see me on here. He showed me a picture of his dream car on his cell phhone and it was the orange Marauder that has been on E Bay a coulpe of times. He has one more year of collage and hopes to but one like it when he gets his first teaching job. Remember a lot of people like the big wheels and bright colors. I did do a burnout in the parking lot for Isley when he was here and he loved it and the fact that he could talk about the cars that he loves. Dont be to harsh on people who like these cars.

Just recently. The top of the line Lucerne has a V8, I think a northstar variant, but could also be the 5.3 that goes in the Impala SS and Grand Prix GTP. Still driving the wrong wheels though.
And I do agree with whoever said those are the worst wheels ever seen on a Marauder...yuck.

Buick Lucerne has 4.6 DOHC northstar(crap to me)and the smaller Buick Lacrosse Super has a 5.3 pushrod engine(not crap to me)...smaller car gets bigger V8 w/ more torque ...same as in Impala SS and Grand Prix....just inspected first one at our dealer last week nice car(the Lacrosse)..needs engine sitting the right way though..FWD:confused:

Now that you mention it, I remember reading they were going to do that.
Still won't save Buick I think.
In Seattle for Bruteforce's S/C install I had the pleasure of riding passenger in the rear seat of a new Buick rental. There was an incredible amount of road noise. Absolutely terrible.

What in is wrong with people and these stick on port holes?
I promise you that I saw a guy driving a Rolls Royce with these fake portholes today.
I would not believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. I promise you, it is true.

Do you leave the interior lights on at night so your Marauder can see the pictures well, or do you rely on its infrared sensors to absorb the images...? Might as well leave milk and cookies, too, in case Santa comes by to look at the bling...
