Some gas stations have a nozzle for each grade of gasoline and others have a common nozzle and then you push a button for the grade of gasoline you want. On the common nozzle pumps, if the person that used the pump before me purchased regular, and I'm getting premium, how much regular gas do you think I'll get?

The hose is actually two-in-one, so you'll only get what remains in the nozzle after the valve. A few teaspoons, perhaps...certainly not enough to matter.

I wonder about the pumps that share more than two grades,

Bob - I thought you would get all the fuel from the pump to the nozzle..
Can you expand on the definition of the two in one hose?
Thanks

there is an inner hose that carries the fuel, and the outer hose returns the vapors to the pump.
