True, but only if you use a counterfeit(?) battery.

Don't think I'd put it in my paints pocket either. Glad I don't own a cell phone

Only fake batteries explode, if you buy one from the company that makes the phone, it will not explode. Some companies even mail you letters showing how to spot a counterfit battery, i got one for my phone i had 2 phones ago that got run over on main street. Still in my drawer in 3 pieces though, and the genuine battery still works :D
