03 Svt F150?

thinking of buying a 03 SVT F150...does anyone on here have any personal experience w/ these...anything i should know of or be looking for?...its a late 03 with a build date of 6/03 and priced under KBB w/30k miles...any input would be helpful....ride quality,problems,complaints... have no prior experience w/ these :(

A few of my friend's have '03's and '04's, they love them (so do I) with 0 complaints and with minimal mods will walk an over rated SRT-10 Ram. My other friend just bought a '99 with 57k on it, and he needed a tranny. It wasn't Ford's fault, it was the person who owned it before him, he beat the ever loving ***** out of this poor truck now my friend has to deal with all the problems it has. I say go for it. IMO I wouldn't buy one below '01. The '99's and '00's had a few "bugs."

I am still looking the only thing is the intercooler, there was a recall on them in 99 till?

Jim, the '99's and '00's had them. Granted, there was a Recall for them, I would still rather get an '01+ one just to be safe. Also, thanks to Sal from Power Surge, I guess there was another issue on the '99's and '00's where the lines going to the gas tank would fall off and obviously cause the truck to be stranded since there would be no fuel getting into the engine. All of this was fixed on the '01+.

Yes, '99-'04 had the 4R100 trans in them.

They're faster'n stink. Very good looking and with your TN address, should be just fine for year 'round driving. Up here you'd have to park it in the winter.

I bought a new '02 F-150 with the same body style, a 5sp and 4WD, and am hating the thought of when the day comes that I'm gonna have to turn it over to Wes. It's just going to hit 100K and I'll replace the brakes, soon. Oh, there was the spark plug/coil to replace ...that's the extent of the service issues.
