#3 Progress Report: 15.09 @ 95 (corrected) Lidio's 93 Octane Tune Worth 1/4 second!

Heya Friends,

Just got back from my latest test session with Lidio's tune. This tune lopped 1/4 of a second off my ET, dropping it from 15.33 @ 94.4 to 15.09 @ 95.

The car is an animal now, breaking the tires loose at will from a dead start. Talk about throttle response, WOW, it's REALLY fun to drive. It's always in the right gear now, no more bogging, and TC lockup at 38 MPH (I hated that). There is a bit more vibration at idle (he idles it higher) but I could probably adjust that back down, if I needed to.

It sounds louder under WOT, probably because it's getting more advance and a better fuel air ratio - it's terrific.

The shifting is SO much better, not so pathetically mushy anymore.

I needed to drop my launch RPM down from 1600 to 900, to make the same 2.64 60 ft times I was making before.

NEXT STOP: 4.10 gears. Whoopy!!!

My goal is to run in the 14s. I JUST NEED 16 HUNDREDS.

I hope you're right. I'm hoping for 1-2 tenths from the gears, that should get me there...

If not, Lidio snuck onto my xcalibrator a Sunoco GT100 race gas tune. He said it's worth another 25 HP. :coolman: The stuff's $10/gallon, but that should put me over the top, gears not withstanding.
