Just booked my Kooks install for this Thursday/Friday with Steeda in Milton,Ont. will try to get some installation pics.......had to replace my old mild steel Kooks with the newer stainless steel, hoping all goes well
Make sure you bring (2) 2 1/2" COPPER collector gaskets, with (6) 1 1/2" 3/8-16 Stainless Bolts and (6) Stainless 3/8-16 nuts.
Do yourself a favor and sawzall the old headers off, it will cut down on disassembly time.

Actually Zack....i'm not attempting this project, I'm having a pro do it for me so if screws up i can bring it back.....but thx for the tips especially about the copper gaskets, i should probably e-mail him and request the copper gaskets.
Can you tell me if Kooks supplies the copper gaskets and SS nuts and bolts with their headers.......

They dont, thats why I told you to bring them.
You need Stainless on the collector flanges otherwise you will never get them off.

.....looks like the job may cost slightly more than anticipated :mad:.....seems that the newer Kooks headers have a ball type collector where my old Kooks had just a straight flange so some mods have to be done to the h-pipe to accommodate the new style of collector. They also found a defective EGR which will take 4-5 day's to arrive....looks like late next week b4 i see the car again.....let's hope there's no other problems

Isn't that always the way?? They love finding more "problems". You sure it wasn't Canadian Tire (sorry Justin). What does a job like that cost?

Headers= $1100
Install= $1400
Front end alignment= $85
Custom bending to tubing to attach to H-pipe
As you can see labour is the killer.....they had to drop the front suspension to get at the headers.....it's all worth though. I'll attach a vid to let you see
how they sound from the take off and also a drive by.....the car sounds much louder than what the vid shows....Enjoy

Ouch on that Labor!
I install Kooks for $500 and I do it on a creeper.
5-7 hours later you are on the road.

On a creeper? Man you're good......:bows:
Shopped around for a better deal but 3/4 of the shops i spoke to didn't even know what a Marauder was so i gave the job to a reputable shop an hour from me which does this kind of work all the time but as you can see i paid for it.
