Storm damage last night. I was working in the garage last night / this morning. I heard the wind kick up, saw a little branch blow by...then another one a little bigger, then bigger, then the garage began to shake. I hit the door button to bring the door down, but the sensor was blocked. I moved the obstruction, closed the door and made a dash for the house (left the windows open). The sideways rain was so intense that 5 feet away from the garage, I lost sight of the light. I ran into the fence (kept going, I knew it was out there somewhere), when I grabed the metal handle, a crack of lightning hit somewhere out in the yard. I made it into the house and upsatirs where it was a wind tunnel also...and with 1/2 inch of water on the floor.......all in just a matter of 2 or 3 minutes. Pics attached, my work is cut out for a while :(

Sounds like you may have had a tornado rip through your yard. I am glad you and yours are ok.

As long as everyone is ok, all else is replaceable.

The weather is getting wierd lately. Last week here on Long Island there was a confirmed tornado about 3 miles from where I live.

Toto got blew away, now all I'm left with is these spotted critters. Check out the links in that post 2 above for the 60 elky lurking in the garage. The Marauder is now in storage, the 60 is home for awhile.

Wow, I never knew you were in the middle of a cornfield. You haven't looked for any 'signs', crop circles in your backyard have ya?

Crop circles? Nope, those are mostly in England and in Washington state for some reason. No UFO activity here. Just crop dusters.

knine,
Glad you are OK despite all of the limbs and such that you have to cut and clean up. If you are OK as well as your dogs and cars, then everything else can be cleaned up. Be safe!
