King of the Strip on ESPN2

I just recently finished an appearance on the ESPN2 show called King of The Strip, about street racers, competing for cash and prizes.
I did my best to represent the Marauder among the street racers from accross the country, and I think I did a pretty good job.:burnout:

The episode that I am in will be be coming on soon, and I don't mind feedback (good or bad), on my very first TV race.

My wife and son, went with me on my trip to Indy, for the taping of the show.
Due to legal issues in the contract, I can't give out any real details of the show, but I met a lot of wonderful people/racers from the NHRA, and had a great time.

My 03 Marauder, was one of the standout favorites of all the cars there, and that's one of the reasons that I love the car so much.

I did pretty good, still have my car. But I need to work on the rear axle. I think I tore up the posi, during a quarter track burnout, which was unintentional.

Just watched an episode, and they spent a lot of time negotiating on race conditions (lane, delayed start time, nitrous) rather than racing and showing ETs. Kinda wished they woulda just ran the cars and quit talking about running cars. Still, excited about seeing a Marauder on ESPN2!!

They just ran it this morning on ESPN2. Daryel, I couldn't catch some of your comments between runs, did you make all of the runs on the spray? I saw your run of 14.03, but they didn't show the final run ET.

On the first run is when spider gear broke, and I didn't know what was wrong at the time. That was all the blue smoke from the passenger side tire!
So from then on, I had to to turn the nitrous AFTER, I Launched! What a bummer!
On the run of 14.03, I was shutting the nitrous off, at about 800 feet.

I was trying to save "a little bit" for the negotiating for the final round, when I was planning on running the nitrous on, "out the back door", but the darned soleniod froze up, and it hurt like hell, watching that Plymouth, fly by me!!
But, I still had a good time, and plan on putting on a Trilogy motorsports supercharger, so I can go back, and really kick some butt!

That's a bummer, but it must have been fun. I'm sure with a Trilogy, you will kick some butt as it should be more consistant. It was great seeing a Marauder out there giving it a try. Saw the show. I thought you did a good job Daryl. The Mopar guy was a bit pushy though. He did have a full race car and it did go well. With more negotiating you could have beat him. Congrats on representing the group.:up:
